If you are thinking to remove the natural teeth and fitting of denture, there are 3 options available for you to consider.
Immediate denture: An immediate denture is made before teeth are removed, so that dentist can fit the plate straight after the extraction of your natural teeth. By choosing this type of denture, you are able to eat, talk, smile immediately, and your healing gums are protected by the dentures whilst healing.
Transitional Denture: This type of denture is converted from existing partial denture to a full denture by adding artificial teeth onto the plate when the remaining natural teeth are extracted. After about 6 month when the gum healed, we can start making new denture.
Conventional Denture: Made 4-6 months after your extractions. The delay is to allow time for your gums to be stable, and results in a better fitting first denture.
At Victoria Dentists, we have on-site technician, we do not “out-sourced” the dentures to any third party dental mechanic, we can create a smile that reflects the way you want to look and feel. Taking time to explain the process, it’s advantages and limitations, is an integral part of the process. Above all else, we listen to you, we will make sure all technical and emotional aspects of the procedure are satisfied.
